With Mexico’s election change, their government will allow foreign oil companies to drill there for the first time in more than a decade. And 90% of Mexico’s oil exports go to the U.S. With Canada’s oil and North Dakota’s oil, our country could finally realize the dream of energy independence. We could pull our carriers out of the Middle East and the Gulf of Hormuz and like Ron Paul, give up the idea of an American Empire. That probably won’t happen. This will be the U.S. century. Our country’s power is ascending, not descending. American influence and culture dominates the world, for better or worse. I am always amazed that whatever country has a conflict, we have to send in the Marines to rescue American expatriates. Our people seem to be everywhere in the world.
It turns out the reason oil men complain about not being able to drill on federal land is because the tariffs are half what the states charge. The idea is to raise these rates to parody and allow drilling. The oil companies will prosper, we the people have more oil, and the government receives more taxes. A win-win scenario.
Crude is up $2.00 at this time to $85.75. Gasoline is up by $.009/gallon at the average rack in Selma. Diesel fuel is down by 2.4 cents. Prices are:
